On Wednesday, three U.S.-based scientists were awarded Nobel Prize for turning a glowing green protein from jellyfish into a revolutionary way to watch the tiniest details of life within cells and living creatures. It is called green fluorescent protein or GFP. GFP is used to track development of brain cells, the growth of tumors and the spread of cancer cells. Although their discovery is just a protein, but it really helps a lot in the medical field and in the efforts to get rid of cancer cells. They deserve the Prize!!
